Pakuranga Choral
Society was founded in 1974 by Ross Lewis who conducted the choir for two
years. Hal Marryatt took up the baton and remained Resident Conductor for
the Society for the next 25 years. Since his retirement the Society has
engaged guest conductors for each concert.
Pakuranga Choral Society presents three or four concerts each year which
include light works, sacred works and oratorios and a Christmas concert.
We would welcome offers from conductors and new members. Rehearsals are
on Monday evenings from 7.30 - 9.30 at Elm Park School, Gossamer Drive,
Pakuranga, Auckland and performances are generally held in All Saints
Church, Howick, Auckland.
